What Is A True "Christian" Gnostic?

No one will ever suspect a Gnostic to be within the ranks of the church today? Unfortunately but true that there are "Christian" mystics within many evangelical churches and that of its own leadership today. A "Christian" mystic is a professing believer who claim to possess such superior "knowledge" that the ordinary Christians does not possess. The "knowledge" by which "Christian" mystics possess is what is "secret" knowledge or "gnosis" that is outside the boundaries of God's Word. Such spiritual "knowledge" or Revelation Knowledge is a "direct" fax from heaven by which many Gnostics claim to have received from God (Deut. 29:29).  Many "Christian" mystics has in fact accuse that of the "institutional" church or traditional religion of possessing the letter of the law; not the spirit and the Word. The typical statement of "Christian" mystics by saying, "Th...

How the Church Have Been Convinced to Read the Bible

The strength of one's interpretation is to how they view God's Word. For example whenever a particular Christian teacher view that of sin as to teach that the conditions of people are based upon their particular environment that they find themselves, that of low self-esteem, and the condition of one's way of thinking is the reason why people are the way they are as opposed to man being separated from God as a result of the Fall of Man (Gen. 3:1-7 with Rom. 5:12). Even though there are areas of occupation that are somewhat worst than others due to such social and economical factors but the overall of things is that man is separated from God as a direct result of their sin and immorality (Rom. 6:23). In order that man can be reconcile to God is through the Person of Jesus Christ so as to His redemptive work on the cross.  Man is a sinner by nature by which they are prone to sinning. For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our L...

The Prophetic Word Made Sure (Part 2)

During the last article that I wrote concerning the prophetic word made sure is that the church possess that of the written revelation of God's Word (2 Pet. 1:19-21 with 2 Tim. 3:16).  Therefore in order to bear wide open the plain meaning of 2 Peter 1:19a is to look at previous verses in 2 Peter 1:15-18 so as to lay the foundation of preceding verses in 2 Peter 1:19-21. Many times professing believers who hear the word "prophetic" becomes reactionary to the point that they begin to think in terms of what is prophetic "dreams" and prophetic "revelation" by which it have no connection with the prophetic message something that is reliable (Psa. 119:7, 9). God's Word is reliable (Psa. 119:7, 9). God's Word is true and righteous altogether (Psa. 119:9).  Even in Isaiah 8:20 where it refers to the prophetic message something that is reliable by saying, "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because t...

Steps to Learning How To Read Properly God's Word

It is so important that believers know how to read properly God's Word. Unfortunately there are many leaders within the church today do not know how to read God's Word properly so as to rush in their reading of scripture. There are many within the Charismatic and Pentecostal circles who think that the louder they shout, that quoting the scripture, and to give a "twist" or spin on what the truth is by finding themselves sinking deeper into a "spiritual" quicksand. Sanctimoniousness along with scripture quoting does not make people students of the Bible but to reveal that of their ignorance of the truth of God's Word. The Bible admonish us as believers by saying, "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2 Tim. 2:15). To study God's Word requires that believer's think. And the hard work of God's Word that we think biblically. The contemporary church toda...

The Prophetic Word Made Sure (Part 1)

It is so important that we understand the truth of God's Word. It is quite unfortunate that many within the evangelical church today fail to come to grips with the basic understanding of what God's Word teach.  Paul in this letter to Timothy says, "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth." (2 Tim. 2:15). In order for believers to be student of the Bible is to correctly handles God's Word of truth by which the basis of biblical interpretation is to compare scripture with scripture (1 Cor. 2:13, 14). The way by which believers can handle the truth of God's Word is to seek the plain meaning of the context of scripture as to its immediate context, that of its preceding context, that of its wording of scripture. It takes hard work in studying God's Word (2 Tim. 2:15). It requires that of our total being so as to roll up our sleeves to do the daunting and diff...

Hearing God's Voice: What Does It Mean?

Why is it so important that we address this particular subject matter, "Hearing God's Voice: What Does It Mean?" Well apparently there are books that are in the Christian marketplace who claim to be an authority on "How" to Hear God's Voice, "Seven Steps to Hearing God's Voice," "Listening Prayer," especially the most popular of evangelical authors, "Conversation with God" that sold in the millions. Whenever I critique the materials of these books that have captivated many of its readers is that I have discovered the main theme of its message is that it is possible for them to actually hear God speak to them in an audible voice.  When it comes to the individual praying to God is that there is a two way conversation between the person and God Himself.  I find this quite surprising that the communication between God and the individual believer praying cannot expect God to speak back to them. In my experience praying to God a...

The "Faith" of the Prosperity Gospel?

How is it possible to mix "faith" with prosperity? It is impossible for a "system" to create a "system" that are very much "inconsistent" with that of its own data. The fact of the matter any system of data has to be consistent with the data that are congruent with that of the system itself. Let's take for an example in order for a computer to function properly is that the proper application or software have to be "consistent" with the computer's type. We cannot install Window 98 into a 2017 Microsoft Chrome computer because it requires Windows 10 for it to function properly.  When it comes to understanding the truth of God's Word everything has to fit properly in order to comprehend the whole of a given passage or biblical theme.  The best interpretation of the Bible is the Bible itself (1 Cor. 2:13).  Quite unfortunately those who claim to be God's messengers are guilty of making the Bible say what they want it to sa...
