I. The Heart is Full of Wickedness (Ecc. 9:3)

  A. Sin resides within people's heart (v. 3a)

     1. Every evil though and deeds springs from within out of the sinfulnesss of people's heart. (Jer. 17:9)

     2. The deceitfulness of people's heart is to deceive others. (2 Tim. 3:13)

  B. The insanity of the sinfulness of people's heart (v. 3b)

     1. Treacherous.

     2. Murders.

     3. Malice.

II. The Nature of the Deceitfulness of the Heart (Jer. 17:9)

   A. Eph. 4:14.

   B. 2 Cor. 4:1-2; 3-4.

   C. 2 Cor. 11:3.

III. Sin Precedes from Within Out of the Heart (Mk. 7:21a)

    A. The expression of the heart (v. 21)

       1. That which springs  from the sinful heart of people (v. 21b)

         a. Moral vice.

           1) Evil thoughts.

           2) Sexual immorality (2 Cor. 5:1ff)

           3) Theft.

           4) Murder.

           5)Adultery.

        b. Spiritual vice.

          1) Greed. (Matt. 20:15)

          2) Malice.

          3) Deceit. (2 Cor. 4:1-2; 3-4; 11:3)

          4) Lewdness. (Rom. 6:1-2 with Jude 4)

          5) Envy.

          6) Slander. 

          7) Pride.

    2. The uncleanness of the heart (Mk. 7:21)

      a. It is full of sin. (vv 21-22)

      b. Rashness. (Ecc. 9:3)

IV. The Diagnosis of the Heart (Jer. 17:9; Mk. 7:23)

    A. It comes from within the sinful hearts of men (v. 22)

       1. That which spring forth from the heart. "All these evils..." (vv. 22-23)

       2. The uncleanness of people's heart. (v. 23)

         a. Full of wickedness (Ecc. 9:3)

         b. The total depravity of people's heart (Rom. 1:18-32)

    B. God's judgment upon the ungodliness of sinners (v. 18)

       1. They suppress the truth in unrighteousness (v. 18)

         a) Denial of the existence of God and His character.

            1. Atheism denial that God exist.

            2. The holiness of God.

         b) God's moral law.

            1. It is a contradiction of the ungodliness of men (vv. 18-32)

              a) The way they live.

              b) How they think.

            2. The ungodliness of people when it comes to God's moral law.

              a) It is moral; not always intellectual.

              b) It can also be both.

       2. The fate of the ungodly (vv. 18-32)

         a) Recompense of error.

            1. Lesbianism. (unnaturalness)

            2. Homosexuality.

         b) Eternal damnation. (Jn. 3:36)

            1. The presence of God's divine glory. (v. 36)

            2. Spend eternality in hell.
