The Hidden Things of God
Different things mean to different people! There are many professing Christians who throw along biblical words like throwing away toilet paper. It is so important to define such biblical concepts with the standard definition of the Bible (1 Cor. 2:13). The most basic of Bible interpretation is comparing scripture with scripture. When it comes to the biblical concept of the "secret things" of God or the hidden things of God is that there are numerous passages of scripture that will shed light upon its biblical meaning.
The question is what is the biblical meaning of the word "secret things?" According to Proverbs 25:2, it says, "It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter." When it comes to the secret things of God is that the glory of our Lord is to conceal a thing (v. 2) The Sovereign Will of God is to conceal that which is not made accessible to ordinary men. There are spiritual vandals within the church today that seeks to penetrate that of God's glory. In so many words false spiritual leaders are always prying around wanting to know God its His completeness. It is impossible for people to know God as to His total Being. Also, the hidden things of God are obscure. (Prov. 25:2) The God of creation knows everything even the deep things of God something that is concealed from those who claim to "unravel" God's divine mysteries. Also when it comes to the depths of God's divine mysteries is that it is unknowable to men.
The incomprehensibility of the glory of God is that of the non-disclosure of the majestic God of glory. God because of His divine glory chose not to disclose Himself to His creation. Even though Moses saw the back of God but did not see God face. God dwells in the Light by which the radiance of His being would have very much been powerful for Moses to withstand. There are those who claim that their spirit departed from their body to enter into the heavens with God. They also claim they had a conversation with the Triune God as to the detail and description of what they have seen and heard. Christian mystics take pride in the superiority of their knowledge and experience by which they worship angelic beings. They also claim to see something when they have seen nothing. The knowledge and experience by which neo-Gnostics claim to possess as to such true spiritual knowledge are nonetheless is "fleshly"; not spiritual (Col. 2:18).
The improbability of "Christian" gnostics seeking to "unravel" God's divine mysteries is empty but fruitless. It is pointless by which it is out of reach concerning those who seek to plummet the mystery of God's wisdom and knowledge. It is very dangerous when you have those who seek to intrude into the spirit world by which they leave themselves open for such demonic possession (Luk. 11:28-30). Those who seek to dabble into the spirit world will in fact exemplify such personality disorders: that of hallucination and paranoia. "Christian" mystics who are deeply enmeshed regarding what they experience and the knowledge that they claim to receive "directly" from God are steeped in deception. They deceive by deceiving others (2 Tim. 3:13). The spirit world is beyond the reach of Gnostics within the professing church. As they probe into the spirit world by entertaining the worship of angelic beings are subjugated to spiritual injuries. The collateral damage of such spiritual injuries is injurious by which it is impossible to bounce back from reality.
The apostle Paul speaks about "Christian" mystics who seek to dabble into the spirit world by intruding into those things which they have not seen being vainly puffed up by their own fleshly minds. (Col. 2:18) Many professing Christians worship such angelic beings. They are animistic religions that worship trees, stars, and idols as well as inanimate worshipping of spirits. Such futility cult worshippers claim that they can enter into the spirit world. They pay attention to deceiving spirits by which they teach doctrines taught by demons. (1 Tim. 4:1) Those who are Gnostics who persist in dabbling into the spirit world is no match to the spiritual world. It is impossible for them to figure out the unknown spirit world by which it is beyond the mystics understanding of the deep mysteries of God. God is unlimited in His wisdom and knowledge; man is "limited" in his or her knowledge of Who God is. The knowledge by which people can have knowledge of Who God is: that is based upon God's written Word (2 Tim. 3:16).
The Church possess such "true" spiritual knowledge as to the fount of the wisdom and knowledge of God; not the "fleshly" knowledge of those who claim to have seen something when they have seen nothing. As believers, we must model that of the Bereans in that "they searched the scripture to see if those things were so." (Ac. 17:11)
