Are God's Anointed Beyond Accountability?

When it comes to checks and balances that many Faith televangelist are without accountability when it comes to what they teach and how they governs the church today. Many of the teachings that has been perpetuated by many Faith leaders claim that what they teach are "anointed" by God but they deny that of the absolute authority and inspiration of the Bible (2 Pet. 1:19-21).  Whenever the leadership of Faith televangelist "substitute" God's Word for what is revelatory that is outside the boundaries of scripture affect other areas of doctrine and theology.  A tree is known by the fruit it bears. We cannot expect apples to bear oranges nor oranges apples.  The problem with the teachings of the prosperity-faith message is that it is "inconsistent" with the clear teachings of scripture (2 Tim. 6:3-5).  The message by which many proponents of the prosperity theology represent a heretical view of the gospel by which it does not reflect that of the character and nature of the gospel of Jesus Christ (Rom. 1:16).  The prosperity gospel is a "fraudulent" gospel that believe in "total" life prosperity by which the faithful are guaranteed "wealth and health."  In order for the Church including sinners alike to take part in the monumental blessing of prosperity is to follow such "formula's" of faith based upon Mark 11:22-24. In so many words, "Say it, believe it, and share it."  This is the "formula's" by which recipients of living a prosperous robust lifestyle but it is a means of works; not grace (Eph. 2:8-9).  There is quite a bit that goes into the doctrine of prosperity: that of Revelation Knowledge, faith, the Abrahamic covenant, Christian stewardship ("giving") and the anointing along with other alluring enticing doctrines (2 Pet. 2:1).
Many of the churches that we see across this country when it comes to the architecture structure of many Word of Faith churches is that of its amphitheatre style. Also many of these churches does not have the "cross" at the center of its church structure by which they believe that Jesus is a product of God's spoken word of faith by God's mind eyes.  The theology of the Word-Faith theology is similar to that of Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormonism: that Jesus is God's First created being and that Jesus is the brother of Lucifer (1 Tim. 4:1).  Jesus Christ is eternally preexistent God who existed along with other Members of the Godhead that of the eternal Father and eternal Holy Spirit (Gen. 1:1, 28).  The problematic issue with that of the Word-Faith theology is that God needed faith in order to create the universe (Heb. 11:3).  God is a Faith Being. If in fact God needed faith to create the world than Who is God trusting? Is it faith in His own words or is it some Force outside of Himself?  If God needs faith according to Word of Faith theology in order to create the universe even "Jesus" than God cease to be God therefore He is a mere Man that is subject to the laws of the spirit by which He is a "cosmic" bellhop at the "commands" of the Faith Christian.  Doctrinal error leads into other errors of teaching (2 Tim. 2:17-18).  When it comes to the teaching of prosperity it is not simply a mere random of the reading of the scripture according to 3 John 2 but based upon many Faith leaders "misreading" and misinterpretation of its biblical text is the prosperity "theologians" progression of one error leads into other errors of teaching (2 Tim. 3:13).  Even at worse that of many Faith leaders misapplication of the text of scripture by which it is at odds with many of the biblical narratives and stories of the Bible (Matt. 4:1-11). It is not a matter of teaching prosperity but at worst how it produces strains of doctrinal and theological errors. Whenever there is such misquote, misinterpretation, and misapplication of God's Word as to lead into other errors of doctrine and theology by which it adversely become "full-blown" errors in and of itself.
The proliferation and gravest of theological errors promoted by prosperity "theologians" can have such a devastating affect in the lives of God's people. As the apostle Paul says, "that people faith becomes spiritually shipwrecked." (2 Tim. 2:17). Whenever God's people are taught what is perverted truth it will tremendously affect their view of God, self, people, and the world around them. There is what is called, "crisis" in relationship with God and "interpersonal" relationship with others.  Many followers of the prosperity worldview have such a "high" view of themselves through such New Thought mindset that set themselves above others as if they are "God."  Along with teaching the doctrine of prosperity is that many Faith leaders teaches that of a "little" gods doctrine according to John 10:38. Once again just a mere casual reading of 3 John 2 by many Faith leaders grind of interpretation is to omit the plain meaning of the context of scripture to fit within that of the cultural contours of Faith theology.  In so many words the Bible must fit within the "worldview" of Faith theology; not Faith theology under the scrutiny of God's Word (Acts 17:11 with 1 Jn. 4:1).
The system of the prosperity gospel are able to mask that of its teachings by utilizing biblical terminologies, scripture twisting tactics, and semantics that the "inexperienced" and naive of believers are not able to detect that of its novelties of doctrine (2 Cor. 11:3).  It appears very much biblical but to put it "closely" under the microscope of God's Word is that of its doctrinal rotten roots but which it sap the life of the Church's moral and theological stance (2 Tim. 2:17, 18).
The problem with that of the professing church today is that of its apathy and "indifference" towards the things of God that loving the brethren takes precedence of sound biblical theology (2 Tim. 4:3-4). There is such an emphasis upon "love" than having "love" for the truth of what God's Word says.  It is important that we as God's people love each other but not to "sacrifice" at the altar of sound biblical truth in the faces of those who deny what is biblical truth.  Also experiential theology take precedence over what is the truth of God's Word by which it becomes the test of true spirituality among many Charismatics and Pentecostal circles today.  And yet the proliferation of false doctrine and heresies is running rampart in the Church today by which the onslaught of false teaching have left the church spiritually lame and naked.  The infectious disease of false doctrine and heresies have in fact taken the life support system of the church today by which its immediately terminate its moral stance and teachings. Whenever there are no checks and balance by which to hold the church accountable scandals will abound. Unfortunately we see that it has in fact played out concerning the recent African American televangelism with Bishop Eddie Long sexual liaison and financial impropriety and also the recent conviction of emblezzment by Paul Y. Cho of the world's largest church of the Yoido Full Gospel Church in Seoul, South Korea.
Most of the scandals that we witness to on Christian television is mostly among non-traditional church leadership that are independent of denominational churches, council, and synods.  Many of non-traditional have at the helm of their church administration that of both pastor and co-pastor that consist of husband and wife team by which it goes against what is according to 1 Timothy 3:1-7 which consist of both elders and deacons of the church by which it is always consist of male leadership. There is no where in scripture that support a husband/wife ministry team of both pastor and co-pastor.  I find it ironic that many Pentecostal leaders pervert that of the biblical text of 1 Timothy chapter 3 verse 1 where the apostle Paul begins by saying, "He that desire the office of a bishop desire a good work." I remember years ago a African American Pentecostal pastor who once says, "The word "he" according to 1 Timothy 3:1 does not refer to gender but insist that God calls women into ministry (John 4; Gal. 3:28).  The apostle Paul's teaching of Galatians 3:28 refers to the salvation of both Jews, Gentiles, bond nor free those who avail their faith in Jesus Christ (Jn. 3:36).  Whenever both traditional and non-traditional church leadership pervert that of administration of the church mandated by God's Word goes against what God's Word says but are contentious in spirit.  There are "renegades" within the professing church today who are rebels without a cause by which they persist in going against the authority of God's Word. The remedy for such rebellion is that of God's divine judgment (Jud. 8-10).  Also whenever many Faith televangelist goes against the authority of the Bible in regards to the administration of the church as "divinely" sanctioned by God runs the risk of church scandal. It is inevitable for the church to persist in teaching what is contrary to scripture and to usurp the authority of God's Word by perverting that of the administration of church mandated by God guarantee both scandal and God's judgment ( 1 Cor. 5; 1 Pet. 4:17).
In conclusion there are no checks and balance when it comes to Faith televangelism teaching of false doctrine and that of perverting church administration according to 1 Tim. 3:1.  Many of the doctrines associated with the prosperity theology are in fact a hybrid of such novelties of teachings that goes contrary to the clear teaching of scripture (2 Tim. 4:3-4; 6:3-5; Col. 2:18, 19).  For many Faith leaders to pervert that of the mandate of the administration of the church divinely sanctioned by God according to 1 Timothy 3:1-7 is to usurp that of the authority of scripture (2 Tim. 3:15, 16).  Pragmatism, experiential theology, postmodernism, relativism, and mysticism are in fact perpetuated by Faith televangelism propagation of the prosperity gospel. One error leads into other errors by which it does such untold damage to the Church's credibility and witness.  The truth of the matter is that scandals of immorality and impropriety inevitably causes many Faith leaders to risk that of their own credibility and witness without any checks and balance in regards to what they teach and practice. They serve as "independent" innovators of the mainstream of biblical Christianity and the historic Christian church as to be in opposition to what is biblical normality (1 Jn. 2:18; Acts 20:28-30).
There is a dear price the Church have to pay for its revolt against God's Word and the authority of Christ so as to be in subjection to God's divine authority. The remedy for such rebellion is God's judgment (1 Cor. 5; 1 Pet. 4:17).  The question, "Are God's Anointed Beyond Accountability?" by which there are individuals within the church today who serve as their own authority by which they are not under the authority of Christ's Rule.  These self-proclaimed "anointed" teachers of the Word have made a havoc in the moral teaching and the life of the church today by their presumptuous and reckless teachings (2 Tim. 2:17-18).  These are individuals who call themselves super apostles and prophets that supersede that of the prophets in the O.T. and apostles in the NT as to perform greater works in signs and wonders, personal prophecies, dreams, and revelations (Jud. 8-10).
Whenever there is a church split it can rest assured that there are problems with it comes to accountability so as to submit to Christ's rule and authority. Scandals will inevitably ensured by many Faith televangelist disdain for denominational polity, council, and synods by which they are anti-creedal in theology.  There is a need to return from cultural captivity to biblical faith in Christ's gospel and the regulative principle of worship as to its biblical hymns.
