The Source of Hearing God's Voice: God's Written Word

We live in a culture that are driven by what is experiential; not what is objective. For example: There are many professing Christians who prefer experience ("inward" voice) as oppose to the content of biblical truth. In so many words the Church today have in fact become so dissatisfied as to the biblical content of God's Word in favor of what is mystical ("voice of God") by which the intrusion of mysticism have sap the spiritual lifeblood of the church today as to its skeletal remains (2 Tim. 2:17, 18).
I am applaud as I have witness over the years "how" that the church today have travel the road of theological mysticism by which many believers have been led astray.  Whenever the Church explicitly deny the authority of the Bible ("rule of faith") so as to seek some "newer" revelation to validate its relationship with the God than is it walking on dangerous grounds.  If in fact scripture is not sufficient than there is no sufficiency whatsoever.  In order to have such biblical authority the Church's faith and practice must be rooted in God's Word.
Throughout this article I will begin to address the subject of the source by which believers ought to hear God's voice.  The source by which believers can hear God's voice is within the written revelation of the Bible; not some "word" within a person's [human] spirit.  The basic principle of early Gnosticism throughout the first and second century church today is to "recognize" the spark of divinity from within. The "avenue" by which Gnostics can attain salvation is through such secret knowledge as opposed to personal faith in Jesus Christ (Jn. 3:36).  The rise of theological mysticism have in fact rob the Church of its understanding of the nature and character of the Bible (2 Tim. 3:16 with 2 Pet. 1:19-21).
Also throughout this article I will define from a biblical perspective that of the true meaning of hearing God's voice, the recipients of hearing God's voice, and nature of hearing God's voice.  We live in a time where there is so much distortion of biblical truth by which many believers has in fact been "impacted" by such distortion (2 Cor. 11:3, 2 Pet. 3:16, 17).
The true meaning of hearing God's voice is what are witness within God's written revelation (2 Tim. 3:15, 16).  In so many words God's voice is His Word; not what is within a person's [human] spirit as to the source of such "divine" revelation (2 Pet. 1:20).  The apostle Paul to his son Timothy in the faith says, "and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus." (2 Tim. 3:15)  The source by which believers hears God's voice is the truth of God's Word whereby the truth of scripture can make a person wise unto salvation (Jn. 3:36).  In order for a person to come to faith in Jesus Christ in regards to salvation is by the content of biblical truth (Rom. 10:9-10).  Salvation is through personal faith in Jesus Christ; not having a "personal" relationship with God as to receiving such "spiritual" revelation.
The repetitious and recurring theme of neo Gnosticism within the professing church today is the necessity of hearing God's voice within a person's [human] spirit devoid of rational faith.  In so many words the Late televangelist Kenneth E. Hagin says, "God by-pass the mind to get into a person human spirit."  In regards to Christian mystics the mystic believe that it is impossible to hear God's voice based upon such Sense Rule knowledge; it is within a person's [human] spirit.  The "revelation" of the Bible is through the "inner" witness of a person's spirit so as to attain what is "true" spiritual knowledge by which the intrusion of mysticism have in fact deaden the "spiritual" immune system of the church today (2 Tim. 2:17, 18).
The Church possess such "true" spiritual knowledge as to oppose to Gnostics in the professing church possessing such "fleshly" knowledge (Col. 1:9, 10; 2:18, 19).
The recipients of hearing God's voice are the truly saved by God's election of grace (Jn. 6:38, 44).  In so many words those who are saved by the grace of God through personal faith in Jesus Christ are going to hear the truth of God's Word; not professing believers who make such false profession of faith (Matt. 7:21-23).  There are many professing Christian leaders who will attempt to confuse the difference between the those who are the "spiritual" as oppose to the nonspiritual.  The "spiritual" are those who can position themselves by hearing God's still "small" voice in opposition to the "nonspiritual" who possess such sensory, "earthly" knowledge.  Most Gnostics within the professing church today make a "sharp" distinction between the Spirit Vs. Flesh.  For example when it comes to the Person of Jesus Christ that theological Gnosticism says, "It is impossible for the Spirit Christ to reside in the Man Jesus." In so many words Jesus is not the Christ (1 Jn. 4:1, 2-3; 2:22-23).  The truly anointed are those believers who profess faith in Jesus Christ are going to hear the truth of God's Word; not "mere" professing believers who reject the truth of God's Word in favor of hearing God's still "small" voice within their spirits (1 Tim. 4:1).  Many of the teachings taught by Gnostics within the professing church today does not bear witness to the truth of scripture (2 Pet. 2:1).
The nature of hearing God's voice is in regards to the truth of God's Word (2 Tim. 3:16 with 2 Pet. 1:19-21).  As in Deuteronomy 29:29 it says, "The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever; that we may follow all the [words] of this law."  The nature and character of God's divine law is what is revealed already in scripture (2 Pet. 1:19-21).  There is no need for any revelation or revelation of the spirit. Scripture is complete (Heb. 1:1-2a).  Jesus Christ is God's Final Word (Heb. 1:2a).  Everything that the Church needs to know pertaining to life and godliness are based upon God's Word; not anything that are outside the boundaries of scripture (2 Pet. 1:20).  False teachers will attempt to "unravel" God's divine mysteries so as to go beyond the words of scripture to seek some "spiritual" revelation or even at worse to hear God's voice within their own [human] spirit.  For Gnostics to add or take away from God's Word is to envision God's divine judgment (Rev. 22:18-19).  Those believers who are on the side of truth hears God's Word; not professing believers who reject the truth of God's Word (Jn. 18:37; 1 Jn. 4:6).
