The Marks of a Professing Christian

Text: Matthew 7:21-23 "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven ; but [he] that doeth the [will] of my Father which is in heaven. [21] Many will say to me [in] that day , Lord, Lord, have we not [prophesied] in thy name ? and in thy name have [cast out] devils ? and in thy name [done] many [wonderful] works ? [22] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." On this evening as I begin to expound upon this particular passages of scripture (Matt. 7:21-23) there is quite a lot so as to study this important biblical portion. First, in order to understand what Jesus is saying here in Matthew 7:21-23 is to read properly that of this particular verses as well as understanding what is within this text. Context, context, context rules.  The basis of Bible interpretation is to compare scripture with scripture (1 Cor. 2:13, 14). In so many words scripture interpret scriptur

God's Elect Knowing God's Voice

It is important we get a understanding of this particular subject matter, "God's Elect Knowing God's Voice." The reason for this is that there are spiritual detractors on the social media whose attempt is to distort that of this particular theme so as to put it within their own cultural context. They also write books, appear on Christian television, and hold "Faith" convention across the United States and around the world. Many of these self-professing Christian leaders appeal to their viewing audience, that of their churches and ministries that they are an authority on the Bible, but, ignorant of what the Bible teach concerning any given subject matter and the whole of the biblical context of scripture (2 Pet. 3:16, 17). The apostle Peter calls such men as "ignorant and unstable" as they do also the other scriptures unto their own destruction." Whenever their is such a distortion of biblical truth then it can adversely impact the spiritual

The Bible: The Character and Nature of Scripture

The Bible is not a "mere" book!  There are some people who treat the Bible as some type of literature just like for example Shakespeare.  When it comes to the Bible is that it is extraordinary when it come to that of the character and nature of scripture:  that of its complete reliability of the prophecy of scripture (2 Pet. 1:19a). Also, when it comes to the nature of scripture is that it makes a person wise unto salvation (2 Tim. 3:15).  The problem with many neo-orthodox theologians and postmodernist is that God speaks through the Bible, but, is not the very word of God. In so many words that in order for scripture to be complete is that there has to be such additional revelation so as to insure that of its completeness. Scripture is complete without any further revelation nor revelation of the spirit.  Also, when it comes to that of postmodern theology is that most postmodernist within contemporary evangelicalism is that is no absolute truth.  If in fact there is no sta
