Full Gospel Baptist: A Work of the Flesh? Or Work of the Spirit?

The question, "Is Full Gospel Baptist a "genuine" move of the God? How is it possible for the leadership of "Full Gospel Baptist" to bridge the "gap" between Baptist and Pentecostal when its own leaders are ignorant of church history and theology?  Is it an attempt to do its damage from "within" so as to destroy the faith and life of the Church today?  Is it possible to trace the DNA evidence of the history of Full Gospel Baptist with early Gnosticism today?  What is the nature and character of Gnosticism throughout the history of the first and second century early church?  What is so striking about early Gnosticism in the first and second century church was to be in competition with the teachings of the Church ("Christ's divinity") by which to appear "Christian" but whose goal is to do such untold damage to the ethical/moral teaching with that of true biblical Christianity and the historic Christian church (Acts

What Does the Bible Really Teach About the "Subsequential" Work of Salvation?

What does it mean by a "subsequential" work of salvation? Is speaking in tongues apart of the believer's salvation experience? What is the biblical basis in support of the "second" blessings as it relates to believers speaking in tongues? How is speaking in tongues apart of the cross of Christ? Is the Pentecostal "baptism" of the Spirit included in the resurrection and ascension of Christ? Is salvation a means of works whereby the believer is responsible in maintaining one's own salvation?   The "subsequential" work of salvation or "second blessing" follows that of a saved person by which they must "tarry" for the "gift" of the Holy Spirit with speaking in tongues (Acts 2:4). Within many Charismatics and Pentecostal circles they utilize several biblical proof-text like Acts 1:5, 6-8; 2:1, 4; 19:1) in support of the fact that unless a person "speak in tongues" that they are not saved (Gal. 1:8-9;

Still "Small" Voice According to 1 Kings 19:12

In order to understand any given passage of scripture is to look at both previous and preceding verse. The best interpretation is the Bible itself (1 Cor. 2:13).  Also it is important that we understand the history, culture, and theological meanings of the biblical text of scripture. It is unfortunate that there are individuals within the church especially its own leadership has in fact stop short of the historical context of scripture so as to make such present-day application.  As we begin to study the context of 1 Kings 19:12 we must first of all read previous and preceding verses in order to understand the whole of its message. To ignore that of the plain meaning of the context of the Bible in favor of what is allegorical is to destroy the message of the Bible.    Mystics who promote hearing God's still small voice have in fact reached into the annals of both evangelical churches and "liberal" mainline Protestant denominations. The intrusion of theological mystici

Are God's Anointed Beyond Accountability?

When it comes to checks and balances that many Faith televangelist are without accountability when it comes to what they teach and how they governs the church today. Many of the teachings that has been perpetuated by many Faith leaders claim that what they teach are "anointed" by God but they deny that of the absolute authority and inspiration of the Bible (2 Pet. 1:19-21).  Whenever the leadership of Faith televangelist "substitute" God's Word for what is revelatory that is outside the boundaries of scripture affect other areas of doctrine and theology.  A tree is known by the fruit it bears. We cannot expect apples to bear oranges nor oranges apples.  The problem with the teachings of the prosperity-faith message is that it is "inconsistent" with the clear teachings of scripture (2 Tim. 6:3-5).  The message by which many proponents of the prosperity theology represent a heretical view of the gospel by which it does not reflect that of the character

"There you have it the skin of the truth "mixed" with a bald face lie."  It is not my word it comes from the lips of those who claim to carry the message of Faith and prosperity throughout the world (2 Tim. 2:17, 18).  Rev. 10 Books About Prosperity That Screwed the Church Up

Even though the control of human communication is very much evident among many Faith leaders as to what how many of their members are taught to avoid various books and literature is indication of control and security. Many Faith leaders will say and do what it takes to silence the mouths of its critics that challenge their teaching and authority. Many Faith leader will utilize such "scare" tactics by quoting Psalms 105:15 where it says, "Touch not mine anointed and do my prophets no harm." Many within the Word-Faith camp cautions those who are apart of their churches and ministries that to question that of its own leadership and to challenge their "authority" is to question GOD.  There is nothing warranted in Psalms 105:15 that even says nor suggest that to ask the leadership of the many Faith leaders the question or to even challenge their authority that they are "touching" God's anointed. The question, "Are God's Anointed Beyond

The Character of God's Word: Truth? Or Hoax?

In order to know the character of God's Word is based upon what is revealed in scripture. There are numerous passages of scripture that witness that of the character of scripture (2 Pet. 1:19 with 2 Timothy 3:16). Even though there are many professing "Christian" teachers denies God's Word for what it truly is but nonetheless throughout the Bible affirms the character of God's Word. In order for God's Word to what it claim to be as to that of its divine character is to know the character of God (Rom. 3:23).  God is perfect within His own character by which God is the Author of scripture.  Since God is perfect in His moral character is that the character of God's Word is perfect. Since the Church have a perfect Book (i.e. "God's Word) by which it reveal Who God is therefore scripture is perfect in all that it says (Matt. 5:17).  The law of the Lord is perfect making wise the simple.  Whenever the Word of God is being challenged by postmodernism,

The Prosperity Gospel: The Influence of "New Thought" Inside the Church Today!

Never in the history of the church has there been such an frontal attack by many fringe groups that seek to infiltrate evangelical Christianity.  For example when it comes to the Word of Faith movement is that it appears to be "Christian" but many of its beliefs and practice are diametrically oppose to that of the clear teaching of scripture (2 Tim. 6:3-5).  Many proponents of the Word-Faith movement utilize at will the language of the Bible (e.g. "Faith") according to Romans 10:17 where it says, "Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ." It is through the preach gospel the men come to know Christ in order to be saved (Rom. 1:16).  The gospel have the ability to change the most vilest of sinners into saints those who come to embrace Christ and the gospel. It is the life-changing message of Christ that believing sinners receive that of the grace of God through personal faith in Jesus Christ (

The Prophecy of Scripture: The Truthfulness and Reliability of God's Word

Text: 2 Peter 1:19-21; 2 Timothy 3:16 Introduction: The character of the prophecy of scripture is that it was not manufactured by men but that God inspired the Word of God (2 Tim. 3:16).  In 2 Timothy 3:16 by which the apostle Paul says, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God and it is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for instruction in righteousness."  The character of God's Word is that it was divinely inspired by God by which there were 40+ authors who was under the guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit to who wrote what God intended them to write in order to give to the church today (e.g. Rom. 10:1-2ff).  These were "holy" men of God who were instrumental in writing was God intended for them to write but that they were under the Spirit's guidance and inspiration (2 Pet. 1:21).     The problem with many of the world religions today is to claim that many of their writings are "inspired" by God but that it is unequivocally

What's the Big Fuss About Prosperity?

The average churchgoer who attend regularly on Sundays a "Word of Faith" service are "unaware" of the history, beliefs, and practice of the prosperity-faith message (2 Cor. 11:3).  When the prosperity-faith message came on the scene in the early 80's even though it started in 1892 through that of E.W. Kenyon who is the "Father" of what is known as, "The Word of Faith movement" or that of "The Hyper-Faith movement whose belief is in that of "faith" healing without any need for medicine or the doctor's recommendation that "blind" followers of this movement lost their lives as a result of their "misguided" faith (Matt. 4:1-11).  E. W. Kenyon who read extensively that of the material of Christian Science so as to compete with the cults of his day in regards to "divine" healing (1 Pet. 2:24).  Many of the cults of New Thought: that of Christian Science, Unity School of Christianity, Religious Scie
