How the Prosperity Gospel Deceive! (Part 1)

How is it that people who attend "Word of Faith" service regularly on Sundays are influence by the prosperity gospel? What is it about the prosperity message that gets people attention? How does the prosperity gospel represent that of its "brazen" message?  What are its core beliefs and practice? What are the long term ramifications of those who continue to follow this movement? As we look at Paul's letter in 2 Corinthians 11:3 where it says, "But I fear lest by any means the serpent beguile Eve through his subtlety so your minds will be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ." In the Genesis account that Satan promised Eve the godhood of humanity (Gen. 3:1-7).  As "little" gods that man will surpass that of what is "limited" knowledge as to what is "unlimited" as it make reference  to the surpassing knowledge of God. The fact of the matter is our knowledge of God is "limited"; by which man is created

The Prophecy of Scripture: The Character Of God's Word

According to 2 Peter 1:20 it says, "Above all, you must understand that [no] prophecy of scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation of things." But in verse 21 it also says, "For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." The main theme of 2 Peter 1:20-21 is that of the "prophecy of scripture," (v. 20) and "prophecy" (v. 21). The "prophecy" of scripture and that of prophecy according to 2 Peter 1:20-21 refers to God's Word (2 Pet. 1:19-21; 2 Tim. 3:16).  The character of "prophecy" of scripture according to 2 Peter 1:20 is that God's Word is pure (Psa. 119:7) and that it is trustworthy (Psa. 119:9).      Throughout this article I will begin to address the subject of, "The Prophecy of Scripture." It is very important that the Church understand clearly that of the prophecy of scripture thereby

What Does It Mean to Prosper? How to Study God's Word (Part 4)

As we begin to a diagram of 3 John 2 it is very important to break down the parts and whole of this particular verse of scripture (2 Tim. 2:15). It is quite unfortunate that many within the leadership of the church today "spiritualize" that of scripture to make it say what the Bible does not affirm (2 Pet. 3:16).  The apostle Peter refers to such men as "ignorant and unstable" who distort the truth as they do also the other scriptures unto their own destruction. Whenever the leadership are taught to pervert the truth of God's Word adversely affect those who are followers of their churches and ministries. It is a tragedy of all tragedies whenever God's people are taught a wrap sense of scripture so as to led others astray (2 Tim. 3:13).    Now let us begin by reading 3 John 2 where it says, "Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well." (NIV)  There are a few key p

What Does It Mean to Prosper? (Part 3)

As we begin once again looking at 3 John 2 is that this biblical text has in fact been misunderstood by those who support that of the prosperity message. Never in the history of the church today where there is widespread distortion of God's Word in this new millennium. It has become worse and worse and it is alarming. It has also reached into the annals of the professing church with such accelerating speed. Lives are hanging in the balance and the prospect of returning to historic biblical Christianity is very much blurred.  As errors begin to surface there are more errors that are to be fought against. It is a tedious but difficult task in preserving the purity of the true faith in the faces of those who would pervert that of the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Gal. 1:8-9).  As Jude admonish the church by saying, "earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints." (Jude 3). The stakes are high and millions of souls at stake. People's faith hinges up

What Does It Mean to Prosper? (Part 2)

It is important that in order to understand 3 John 2 under study is to have a proper understanding of this particular Bible passage. This particular verse along with other passages of scriptures have been systematically perverted by those who are proponent of the prosperity gospel.  Instead of seeking to understand the plain meaning of 3 John 2 that many prosperity teachers seek to read into that of this particular passage of scripture to seek some spiritual "revelation" or spiritual insight (2 Tim. 2:17, 18).  For example the apostle Paul mentioned the names of two false teachers Hymenaeus and Philetus by which they taught the appearance of Christ as to His resurrection. In so many words that Christ's appearance in regards to His resurrection was spiritual; not having a physical glorified body as to be raised from the dead (1 Cor. 15:1-4). If in fact Christ's resurrection is somewhat spiritual but not a physical glorified body than how is it possible for believers

What Does It Mean To Prosper? (Part 1)

Words have meaning! In order to define biblical words is based upon the standard definition of the Bible (1 Cor. 2:13).  That is the basis of biblical interpretation by which many within the church today failed to come to grips with.  Instead of getting a clear understanding of the words of the Bible is that such biblical terminology have been given a "new" set of biblical meanings by which the average believer are slaves to such distortion (2 Pet. 3:16).  There are many "Christian" leaders who call themselves students of the Bible are spiritually "retards" when it comes to understanding the meaning of the words of scripture.  We cannot utilize "worldly" ways to define biblical words according to the Bible.  It is not spirit taught but the spirit that is of this world.  As I observe the social media many who called themselves God's spokespersons have in fact grossly "redefine" biblical words (e.g. "Faith") as some tangib
