Understanding the Issue of Spiritual Gifts (Part 1)
Why is it so important in understanding the issue of spiritual gifts? The apostle Paul begins by saying, "Now about the gifts of the Spirit my brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed." (1 Cor. 12:1) In the first part of this verse according to 1 Corinthians chapter 12 verse 1, the apostle Paul says, "Now about the gifts of the Spirit..." In 1 Corinthians 11, the apostle Paul was addressing the issue of the abuse of the Lord's Supper. Now, going into 1 Corinthians 12:1a that the apostle Paul begins to address that of the issue of the gifts of the Spirit. The question: "What was the issue that the apostle had to address concerning spiritual gifts?" It is so important that God's people clearly understand the issue of spiritual gifts especially those who are leaders within the church today.
