Prosperity Gospel By Another Name: The Rise of the Hyper-Grace Movement

The prosperity gospel has in fact come under a "new" name! At first, it was very difficult to detect the false teaching of the prosperity gospel because of what it promised by it relying upon the promises of God. The promises of God's Word are based upon many of the scriptural quotations that many Faith leaders utilize so as to appear that God wants His people to experience the abundance of prosperity (Matt. 6:33; Jn. 10:10; 3 John 2). Many times the prosperity gospel and those who are proponents of this "brazen" gospel seek to interpret the biblical narrative of the Bible to fit within the cultural contours of Faith theology. Whenever there is a distortion of biblical truth it can adversely impact the lives of those who are under the Faith leader influence and teaching (2 Tim. 3:13). Also, whenever the prosperity gospel and its proponents seek to interpret the promises of God based upon the scripture is that it turn the Bible on its own head by which to put w

Let Us Change the Way We Do Church?

"And I say also unto thee, "That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." (Matt. 16:18) There is an attack upon the church today! When I talk about the church I am making reference to those who have been regenerated by the work of the Holy Spirit by which the Spirit indwells that of believers (1 Cor. 12:12-13). The church is not some denomination, synod, or even an non-traditional institution but believers who are saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ that constitute the true church. There are variations and meaning of what the church is throughout various religious and theological traditions. For example we have the Roman Catholic church who consider itself as a true visible church by which the pope is the official position of Roman Catholicism by which in order for followers of such Roman tradition can understand the Vulgate language through the Pope end and of itself. The ap

7 Reasons Why the Prosperity Gospel is Growing

There are several things that people need to know the reason why the prosperity gospel is growing.  Unfortunately, many prosperity teachers have been caught with there hands in the theological cookie jar in regard to their erroneous teachings by which to change their strategy: that of reveling the obvious of their false teachings to which they both redefined the concept of the prosperity gospel in exchange of the Hyper-grace message. The Hyper-grace message is very much a part of the prosperity message (Jude 4; Rom. 6:1-2).  The basics of the hyper-grace message are that (1) God sees believers as being holy as if they had never sinned (1 Jn. 1:8). And, (2) There is no need for believers to repent of their sins. Therefore, (3) Believers are not obligated to live by God's moral law.  The hyper-grace message that is clothed with the prosperity gospel is hazardous because it leads to such moral debauchery and immorality (Rom. 6:2).  Can you imagine what it is like to preach about the

Condemnation: What Does It Mean?

There are many Christians who walk around as if they are condemned simply because of the fact that if they don't live according to man-made rules and regulations, they will be condemned by their own church or leadership.  It is not a matter of Christians living by such man-made rules and regulations but, they must realize because of their position in Christ is that they are no longer condemned (Rom. 8:1a).    Christians must be reminded that because of what Christ did on behalf by saving us that works of righteousness based upon human works and merits do not justify us be before God. We are justified by faith in Christ by which He is our righteousness. Unless people come to trust Jesus Christ only for their salvation that works of righteousness nor human works are not going to get them into heaven. Salvation is in Jesus Christ by which human actions nor accomplishment is how a person is saved (Rom. 10:9-10).    Within this short article, I will begin to address the subject &q

Is God's Law Sin? (Part 2)

There are many professing Christians who would consider God's law as sin!  The apostle Paul in Romans 7:7 asked the question, "That the law is sin?" And also his response to his own question, "By no means! The purpose of the God's law was to reveal sin that it might become exceedingly sinful. The law does not saved, but, it reveals to many of us whenever we look into the mirror of God's law. There are people in the world today that despite of what they see in the mirror concerning themselves is that they will repaint the picture so as to distort of the mirror for who they really are. They will also they did not know that what they did was wrong, but, in reality when they saw the stop sign they completely ignore the stop sign by which they did not stop at the stop sign. So the policeman stop the person who ran the stop sign and asked the person the question, "Mam do you know the reason why I stop you?" And the woman replied, "Well perhaps mayb

Does the Bible Really Teach Tarrying for the Holy Spirit with the Evidence of Speaking in Tongues?

The question that Paul asked some of the disciples by saying, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" have been greatly misunderstood by the Church today especially among many evangelical Charismatic and Pentecostal movement. They have taken what Paul says by convincing many believers by teaching a second work of grace or second blessings (Gal. 1:8-9).  What does it mean by a subsequential work of salvation? The subsequential work of salvation is when a saved person is to "tarry" for the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues. Does the Bible teach that of a second work of grace or second blessings according to Acts chapter 19 verse 2b where Paul says, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" by asking some of the disciples this particular question. Well, as we begin to look at this particular portion of the passage of scripture by studying it within its proper context is comparing scripture with scripture (1

Saved...What I'm Being Saved From?

There are many churches who have a basic knowledge and understanding of salvation, but, when it comes to the full scope of what salvation is as it relates to what believers are being saved from is that they are left wondering what does it mean to being saved from what? I find it quite appalling that many of our evangelical churches today especially that of its own leadership fail to give such clarity and understanding concerning this vital doctrine of salvation.  At worst it gives people a wrap sense of the Sovereignty of God in salvation, that of the assurance and security of the believer's salvation experience (Jn. 6:38, 44; 2 Cor. 5:17; [Jn. 10:28-29]).  The fact of the matter is that unless God's people know what they are being saved from then there is no way that they can understand the process of sanctification in there day by day walk and relationship with Jesus Christ.  Even in life's trials and circumstances that many of God's people have been made to believe

New Thought and the Word of Faith Movement

It is very much important to know church history! There are some within the professing church today who believe that knowing the history of the church is not that important, but, to rely upon God's Word alone.  Those who believe that there is no need for the study of church history fail to understand that the Bible is a historical Book by which it records the history of the Bible, historical narratives and characters of the Bible.  It is also very much important to know Church history is light of its own history, that of the Bible, and those who made significant contributions to that of the Church today. There is the history of the church by which Church have succeeded in the propagation of the Gospel and missiology and the circulation of false doctrine and heresies that sought to destroy the faith and life of the Church today. What the contemporary church is experiencing during this 21st century is what happened in the past by which it is the responsibility of the leadership of

The Misleading Language of the Social Justice Gospel Movement

How is it that the Social Justice Gospel movement utilized misleading language that appears to be biblical as it relates to the "gospel" of Jesus Christ? Just think on that for a moment! Someone may be saying, "These are strong accusation that you are accusing the social justice gospel movement of  "misleading" statements as it refer to the "gospel." For those who read this article that I am not making such blatant accusation, but, in reality the SJG itself "Statement of Faith" is somewhat questionable by which the movement's motive is unclear, but, concerning.  Many advocates of the SJG movement have accuse the social justice movement (SJM) of its social activism on race and social justice by which many have abandon that of the "Gospel of Jesus Christ." In so many words in order to deal with many of the social issues that plagues that of our society is to offer the Gospel only minus nothing else.  Even though I believe that
